The Information Processing and Automation Unit (BIOB) is the unit responsible for the management of the automation program used in the Health and Guidance Center (SRM). The Computer Coordinatorship of the IT Department is also under the responsibility of BIOB. The duties and responsibilities of the Information Processing and Automation Unit are listed below:

• Solving hardware and software problems of Health and Guidance Center users,
• Installing new computer products purchased during the year, installing the necessary programs and making them ready for use,
• Renewing the operating system of existing PCs and installing the necessary programs and making them ready for use,
• Analyzing the patient statistics of all units through the automation database and sharing them with the units,
• Taking system backups on a daily basis,
• Preparation of presentation documents in order to inform METU students and staff about the functioning of the Health and Guidance Center and sharing this file on the kiosk in the Patient Registration Unit and on the METU website,
• Providing Meddata Automation Program user training to newly recruited SRM personnel, defining e-mail addresses and registering them in the system,
• Participating in the weekly meetings held in the IT Department and providing the necessary support within the framework of the studies within the scope of the Integrated Information System carried out at METU,
• Updating the Health and Guidance Center web page in line with requests from the units.
